The book is the product of six years of study and research purposing to reveal the truth of the identity crisis that 99.925% of the world, both believers and non-believers struggle with. The author, having ministered to identity issues for eleven years plus, gives an in depth understanding to Paul's words of Romans 7:18-21,

I realize that I don't have what it takes. I can will it, but I can't do it. 19 I decide to do good, but I don't really do it;
I decide not to do bad, but then I do it anyway. 20 My decisions, such as they are, don't result in actions. Something has gone wrong deep within me and gets the better of me every time. 21 It happens so regularly that it's predictable.(from THE MESSAGE)

William Broer (Founder with his wife Lyn), of Freedom House Canada Inc., attempts to reveal our true identity amongst that which is "deep within me", amidst the "not all of me joins in" the "parts of me" and the "they take charge".

He illustrates through scripture that it is God who holds the design for our identity, that His design cannot be altered.

The book purposes to equip individuals on how to understand and relate to all their inner arguments and internal disagreements.
