@sawiola55 So just because music's easy to play doesn't make it good? Did you even look at the bands you just listed? Led Zeppelin, Queen, and Deep Purple; pretty easy to play as well. Whoever hates a band just because of playing ability has no legitimate reason whatsoever. Also I can see that you're the type of person who says that they "have played the same thing for 40 years" but if you actually listen to their lesser-known songs, you'll find out how wrong you are.

@Bigrobkerr why is my comment top rated then? AC/DC is SOOO overrated, Angus young is such a lame excuse for a guitarists. I love bon jovi by the way, but I prefer Van Halen. And Van Halen does I think 2 or 3 covers of songs, ever heard Dance the night away? Runnin' with the devil? Humans being? etc. I could name a ton that arent covers and kick ass

Half of Angus's fame is because he dresses up like a little boy and hops around on stage with his mouth open, and you think Van Halen's stage presence is flamboyant and obnoxious?

While half of Van Halen's fame is having one of the most innovative and skilled guitarists ever born, and one of the best drummers as well.

Are you kidding me? All of AC/DC's songs are either about sex, hell, or drinking. And they all follow the same format. The singer screeches the chorus, the drummer does the standard 4-note beat, Angus plays a repeating loop, as does Cliff. They don't scream originality or variety either.

So what your saying is, Van Halen has a lot of fans and is some of AC/DC's strongest competition because they're unoriginal and obnoxious?

@MKBoyardee in a nutshell Van Halen's only decent songs are covers of other artists, and their originals are either corny, monotonous, or have stupid lyrics that do not make sense as in the songs "Jump" and "Panama" The reason VH made it so big is not for their songs or song writing ability, rather for their flamboyant and obnoxious stage presence.

@MKBoyardee news flash "You really got me" is a cover of the kinks, and is van halen's biggest hit I might add. So "You really got me", "Pretty Woman" "Dancin in the Street", "your're no good" ... You don't honestly believe that "you really got me" is a van halen original do you? the songs panama and jump make no sense either, . They are corny. Bottom line ACDC much better, more variety and originality as well. And like I said Bon Jovi is a much better "pop rock" band than VH.

What the hell do the songs Jump and Panama mean? and their only good hits are covers of other people's music..like the kinks, beach boys, roy orbison, motown artists, Does ACDC copy other people's music..no! Bon Jovi kicks Van Halen's butt.
