My wife was asked to speak to a group of health professionals on what life is like for kids on ventilators. This is a "day in the life of two of our children, Estie and Zeke.

my son has a trach but thank god he wont have it in forever he is 2 right now and i am glad to say his throat is starting to hold open like normal

Oh that looked so painful @ 1:24 when they changed her tube or trach or whatever that is. I'm glad these kids are alive, don't get me wrong, but does this all seem alittle unnatural to anyone else? Just wondering...

We're just glad she's alive. The doctors told us that all she would be able to do was lay there and move her eyes. They wanted us to pull the plug. Now look at her!
