♪♫ Hanging on a convenience wall,
A roll of two-ply crepe and one-ply clear,
The silent sentinels of health,
supplied by the corporation hygiene surveyor,
Perforated, sectionalised, medicated, sterilised each layer,

But, if you think this is all that these tissues appear to be,
Then listen to the kind of thing these tissues have to be and have to see.

They're witness to a junkie's needs, soaking up the blood spilled on the floor,
A message scribbled on a sheet, state date, time and size pushed under the door,
Rolled up to a pellet size, shoved into the hole drilled through the wall,
Streaming projectiles hurled through the air out of the trains after
games of football.
But I don't suppose anybody really cares, there's too many nowadays just want to
wipe their ass of the whole affair. ♪♫

  • Great LP. Check the hero strip inside and then check out the graphic works of Alfred Kubin (also wrote novels). This was great stuff then and is great stuff now.

  • Tony was too clever for his own good - OK they had three top ten albums which was great - but the bloke is a genius.

  • Theres too many people nowadays who want to wipe there arse of the whole affair.

  • yeah must admit its not always been but right now this is my favourite GH album.... i go through phases.... Tony used to play regular gigs at the spiders web in cleethorpes and was always breath taking!

  • Mighty Mighty Groundhogs!

  • Live this song for these reasons a) recorded on analogue valve stuff using a valve driven desk . You can really he the three dimensional sound that only valves can produce. Secondly Cadence, TS really writes beautiful songs, He really understands the tense release of a tidy progression. Anyone know the chords to this?

  • Tonys best slide work on this song, makes me tear up.
