Welcome To The Project! You can pledge through Kickstarter: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/terririchter/baroque-flute-and-soprano-ha... or simply go to http://www.Kickstarter.com and search for "Bach" or "Handel"
This recording project evolved from a series of Baroque concerts that featured Soprano Terri Richter and Flutist Jessica Dunnavant, along with members of the talented Music City Baroque ensemble. The pieces in the concert that featured voice and flute were so well received that the search was on for more duets. This subsequently led to the Preview CD project of 5-6 pieces. At the end of the project we will be performing a special concert of the recorded pieces. And it may be incorporated into a concert series later in 2011.
We are also recording a behind-the-scenes video, including interviews of the artists and producers involved. This will be edited into a Project DVD. (Much of the video editing has been donated, so this part of the project only costs us $400.)
The Artists: Francis Perry (lute/theorbo), Polly Brecht (harpsichord), Christopher Stenstrom (baroque cello), Laura Ross (baroque violin), Lani Spahr (oboe da caccia), Jessica Dunnavant (baroque flute, recorder) and Terri Richter (vocals).
The Pieces to be recorded:
1) Handel: "Sweet Bird"
2) Handel: "Süsse Stille"
3) Bach: "Aus liebe"
4) Telemann: "Der Segensbau"
5) Pepusch: "Corydon"
(and if we receive some extra $$, we plan to record a 6th piece -- an early music Celtic piece ....as an extra bonus!)
