If you're with Sprint and have horrible coverage/reception in your home it could be a living nightmare. You're kind of stuck in this cellular limbo it feels like. Not quite dead... but not quite living either. Well, if you think there's nothing you can do about it you're wrong. Dead wrong.

I recently found out about a device and service Sprint offers to its customers living in bad coverage areas and all you have to do it call in and request it. Its called the Sprint Airave and it can very well be the best thing that's ever happened to you.

The Sprint Airave connects to your DSL or broadband modem/wireless router and acts as a mini cell phone tower giving you full bars and top notch 3G data speeds. The beauty of it is if you work in a big office building, live up in the mountains there's no reason to suffer with poor carrier coverage.

I cannot tell you how awesome it would have been to have something like this on T-Mobile and I really think Sprint should offer some of their biggest accounts the Airave for free, instead of relying on its customers to request or threaten them for one.

Honestly my cellular life has just leveled up. In all my years living in my home horrible reception was just a reality I had to live with and I honestly thought it would never change. I can't even begin to explain the impact this has had on me. I make more calls, send more texts and the battery life on my phone has literally DOUBLED.

Now I just got to figure out how to get a second one for my workplace...

So after being transfered to 6 different reps and supervisors I finally got them to send me a free airave with out monthly charges....lol I kept saying my friend doesn't pay n e thing, they kept asking who that friend was.

its built in in tht G2 and the Motorola Defy!

@760foolish Yeah, but what if you don't have a G2 or Moto Defy? Therein lies the problem. Plus you have to manually turn it off whenever you leave the house and vice versa.

Cool thing about the Airave is you just set it and forget it =)

I stumbled upon your video by accident and figured what the hell, I'll call Sprint too and long story short they agreed to wave the $100 equipment cost (and the $4.95 monthly charge) all thanks to your tip. Wow. sprint wants you to install the infrastructure cause they suck too hard to utilize more towers.
