In the search for hoopDANCE and with Baxter's classes still ringing in my ears I upsized my hoop a few weeks ago and continued on my journey exploring footwork and movement, but with more time and space to explore: perfect!

I was using 34" and had always done the same thing - downsized. But I found that the search for dance and flow was more enjoyable and rewarding with a larger hoop and it's not too big to affect my off body stuff. Go on...try it!! :)

:) Once you bond with a hoop it's hard to let go for sure and variety is the spice of life!!

Lovely. It's quite amazing how much more time you have to actually move and dance within the hoop if it's that little bit bigger. The tiny hoops are good for tricks, but not really for dance. The dance that can be achieved with them is too frantic to be graceful. You embody grace within the hoop so the larger hoop is really making your dancing stand out. Keep it up. I even got out a 42" 20mm MDPE hoop the other day. It felt heavy, but nice too.

Thanks Sue - that's how I feel too...maybe I'll have a go at rocking out a heavier hoop too. Altho I think I gave them all away!!

GREAT movement! I always try to go up sizes so I can dance more but I feel so limited whe I realise offbody moves don't feel as good and I feel like I'm trapped in a hoop prison! I need to find a hoop that is somehow inbetween (: Amazing dance movement, intense feel with the PJ Harvey song too ^_^ Loved the drop to the floor at the start, was really fluid.

I slowly made my way to smaller and smaller hoops, but have gone back up to 38" hoop, and found 'balance'! :-)
