pasibutbut, the holy song of Bunun, Humankind

pasibutbut is the holy song of Taiwan aborigional people Bunun. The song was sung in the millet growing ritual by at least 8 men in a three or four parts chorus. The song was considered a miracular, spherical music piece by ethnomusicologist since it was "discovered" by the Japanese and EuroAmerican musicians.

How blessed we are that these people have survived the scourge of the industrial revolution and the material ambitions of the European, Japanese and Chinese colonial powers who are so blinded by the material world that they have lost the essence of what it is to be human and commune with the ancestors and spirits of nature.
