There might have been a chance of something along those lines, had WHDH stuck to its decision not to carry Jay Leno's 10 PM show in the fall...had they not come around, NBC was prepared to pull their affiliation, which likely would've relegated the network to WSBK (the only possible station, being a full-fledged indie w/a solid history).

Sorry grahambrunk. Ed Ansin DOESN'T KNOW Boston tv history OR its viewers. I won't even watch any of the channels because it's NOT Boston tv!!!!

When you read this, you'll probably say "Keep Dreamin'", but I would love nothing more than to see NBC buy WBZ from CBS, and make WBZ in Boston an NBC O&O. Not only that, but use the NBC-4 logo with WBZ.

he alrighty brought it here in the form of WHDH...the pickup of WLVI was a defense move so NBC wouldn't buy them and take the affiliation away from 'HDH.

Great people at WLVI...glad I am starting to see some of them come back, but not enough.

Actually i met him here in South FL at the TV archive i work at, i think he is brilliant! WSVN 7 is awesome, you all should be thankful he brought his wonderful ideas to his hometown of Boston.
