Bull Race Punjab - Bald Daud

The rural sport of racing the Bulls in Punjab India. These bulls are specialy bred for racing. Many believe that its a case of animal cruelty, but in truth these bulls are kept like pets and are served the best of food and nutrition, so that they can race the best.

These Bulls are not used for anything in their entire life except for racing in Village fairs across Punjab. Any such Bull can cost from 5 million to 10 million, but still not a single owner would trade his bulls for any amount offered as according to them these bulls are like their sons for them.

The person who rides the bull cart, is called "chawak", ie the rider. He screams aloud to excite the bulls, and to make them speed like hell. Bulls are made accustomed to these Chawak's since their birth and they are trained to speed at the certain sound of the Chawak's voice.
