Akinwande must have figured if hugging like an octopus worked for Ali against Frazier in 1974,he coud get away with the same strategy too. Ali never got a single warning from Tony Perez in that fight, much less a deduction. Perez tried to justify his incompetence by claiming it was only illegal to hold and punch at the same time. But here Akinwande doesn't try to punch in clinches but he still got disqualified because Mills Lane did his job.
