if he cant get around that HK then he either doesnt know what to do or he's no good, i have a friend who i play with all the time who uses gief and he gets around that problem fairly well

They could fix the HK by making it hit high instead of mid. The fact that you can't sweep him as gief while he's doing a standing high kick is pretty BS. There's other things that are annoying in the Gief vs. Sagat matchup, but the standing HK is what makes it broken.
