@coborn35 I'm harrassing you dumbass. Take a pill ... prozac maybe. If that don't work try the hand gun under the chin, or the tempel.
-
@glazerguy58 Well I have worked on the engine for the last 5 years so I think I am qualified to say what number is on the side. Its #2719. End of story.
-
@coborn35 The jumpie video made it appear to be 19. Yep, it's 10.
-
@glazerguy58 It says #2719.
-
Says 2710 on the Engine .... but sure is a steamer. These are a gas to ride.

How fast does this engine get up to?
itm426 11 months ago
@itm426 Because of track conditions, and probably the age of the engine, no more than about 30mph. It was built with drive wheels that would allow it to hit 70mph.

Wow, there are still Soo Line steam engines running? That's awesome, my great-grandfather used to work as a clerk for that railroad. Good to know some of the engines from that era are still operating.

@thediremoose Yes, the Depot in Duluth runs the 2719 each fall for several weekends. I know they'll be running it for 5 weekends in late August or early September in 2011. My dad was a railroad man too (engineer on the Northern Pacific) and he had lots of experience running steam! Check out my other videos. I was lucky enough to ride in the cab on two trips and I shot tons of video of the crew. Thanks for watching. Don Esse
