  • Mi amado Juan Bautista Alberdi....fin del vaje en Alang....Si habre pintado tus bodegas y caminado por tu cubierta ....!

  • The problem isn't the scrapping itself, it's the unsafe and polluting way of doing it in Alang that is a concern. We could do this in Europe, it'd cost more but it'd be done in a responsible manner.

  • how's the sound of the engines..? it sounds like it is really a piece of junk

  • Quite a few PCTC ro/ro's. I suppose the economy is so bad, the cars don't import as much, the ships get chopped up. You can also hear the main engine's turbo(s) surging (barking)

  • they'll be made into something more beautiful

  • Nothing will last forever, simple as that.

  • @tupsumato Yes, better for all sailors as well as we get new, safer and cleaner ships to work on! But of course it's sad to see the scrapping. All ships are pieces of history!

  • Those videos are very sad, I think. Once a proud ship who sail around the seven oceans finally rest not in the depths of the sea, but in a beach to be scrapped.

I know, business is business, but a ship has a soul, you know. Is not just a assembly of iron and machinery. A ship has its own personality, everybody whom has sailed can tell that..

That's why is so sad, is like be witnessing a murder.
