As a naval advisor in 1970, I worked at VN Navy HQ adjacent to the Tran Hung Dao statue at the south end of Hai Ba Trung St.. We used to rent rooms for parties at a hotel on Hai Ba Trung called the "New Martin Hotel". It was on the west side of the street. Aaah......the memories.

i grew up at 130 pasteur st 1 block from Rex Hotel, i knew this area by heart ! i left in 1987 as a GI Kid, cant say anymore, im choked up !

thanks a lot for the video about our city. I always wish to live at that time to see how Saigon beautiful and quite. I love saigon in the past so much, so sometimes I wonder the place that I'm staying , how it was in the past. Your video help me a lot to know about my country in the past. GREAT JOB!!!!

Thanks Frank. I had visited the USO but did not remember where it was located. Took my son around City Center and we stayed at the Rex, Dec. 2007. Thanks for the great videos. Bill
