Noisy compressor. Get a centrifugal or screw type compressor. I guess you had to use what was on hand though. .

Anyone in the industry should check out Procedyne. These guys do nothing but fluid beds, specializing in fine particles and high temperatures.

I would have liked to see you demonstrate the sand's properties by dropping some objects in. Great execution of the principle though. I'm gonna build one as well.
