@cowfetti yeah! same thing... i have seen many times men beating their so called wives with belts, shoe... but still she doesn't object... "husband is your GOD" <<== this is the dialog they learn since childhood....
it doesn't depend on marriage-way... love and understandings do matter...

Guys! I am advocate. I do wanna comment on this. % of divorce cases come to my colleagues are really less in case of arrange marriage than in love marriage... ratio comes like 1:99....
So better lets thinks before we marry..... I am not against love marriage infact I am also in love.......

the percentege of divorces doesn't neccerely reflect wether arranged marrieg is a good thing or not. many marrieges stay together and are very unhappy.

That's lame. An article came out last year about divorce increasing in India partly due to the fact that Indian women are working now. They can afford to not rely on having their husbands provide for them. There are married men and women in India who are miserable and ONLY stay married because of FAMILY obligations and tradiion. I would rather be alone and at peace than married and miserable. Good luck people.
