Miami skyline timelapse, with Nikon D3

Ok, I've wanted to try my hand at timelapse for a while so had a go out in Miami. Just playing around with different settings to see how things work. All shot with the Nikon D3 and 28-70 f2.8 using a Gitzo GT5541LS tripod with a Really Right Stuff BH55 ball head.

Definitely some room for improvement but it was good to have a play to get a feel for what does and does not work with settings and timings. You can read more about the video and how I put it together, on my blog article here:

took off from Miami intl @ night time, i got a perfect view of the skyline it was beautiful, wish i had a camera to take a picture of it, was the nicest thing ive seen.

@HoBBsIsScaRy stunning view isn't it as you take off at night. I've done it several times - as I used to be out there every few months. Only found out after I paid my final visit that you can do quite cheap helicopter flights to take photos from, and they take off from right near where the final shot in my time lapse! Would have done a dusk flight in a heartbeat if I knew. Maybe if I ever get over there again I will.
