  • @maynardgravy and @UpperRegister -

I wish all disagreements on youtube vides could be conducted this way.

  • ha nice and soulful...dam and it looks like maynards just jammin...like he always did...wat a god....R.I.P Maynard "The Boss" Ferguson

  • this is a truely great video and song. i liked this period of maynard's, but i prefered his big bop bands.

  • wow mayanrds really pushing it especially at the end =\

  • this was probally my favorite song by the GREATEST trumpet players. i have nothing to say against him, only because in 14, but if you want to listen to a little solo i have, its in "oms jazz band doxy"

  • espectacular.

    es muy linda eta composicion

una de tantas maravillas que ferguson nos deja para deleitarnos

  • maynard's flugel sounds just like a trumpet

  • Thanks so much for posting this. I had heard about this for years but never seen it. This was right around the time I really fell in love with MF's music. The first recording I heard was MF Horn 2, and this was #2. THIS was my favorite album when I was a Sophomore in high school.

  • Fair enough UpperReg. Can't say I agree (and i'm no purest), but I do appreciate that MF always wanted move with the times. MF horn (the origional and 2) was my favourite period). best wishes.

  • Quite the contrary for me maynardgravy, I really loved Mayanrds HV recordings just because it was a great adventure and I love him in a ensemble setting on the flugel horn. I know for jazz purists perhaps such as yourself it was hard to accept this sound. I also love Maynard in his more traditional jazz setting with BBN as well
