Adrian Young OCDP Snare Test - Mic'd!!!

ok finally got a mic so this is pretty close to what it sounds like i know i messed up in some places didnt mean for it to be perfect.The mic used is actually a vocal mic not a snare mic so it will sound a little different. (sisters vocal mic)

sounds like a fucking popcorn snare man, let it breathe, tune it a bit lower and btw Adrian's snare is a 14x6 that looks like a 14x5 I think, I got a white one with the same specs and everything 10 ply maple, white gloss hardware, etc and it cost me $100 less, I wasn't going to pay 100 bucks more for a different wrap, however you've got a really nice snare drum there, just at least let it breathe a little bit more, you'll notice the difference, loosen the strainer a little bit too

This sounds so good! I envy you so much right now haha Honestly I think a lot has to do with how you have it tuned. Im not saying its a bad snare but I know its an over priced snare that gets a lot of hype just for the brand name. OCDP snare generally sound better at a higher tuning.
