Detroit Tiger great Willie Horton describes what it was like when the Detroit riots of 40 years ago canceled a Tiger game... he was speaking with Tiger broadcaster Rod Allen at Home Plate 2007, a Christian outreach gathering held April 28, 2007 before the Tuger-Twins game at Comerica Park
@KissRules1961 Willie Horton was a duechbag to the fans, never gave high fives or autographs but he did suck your cock once.

The story about Mr. Horton going into the middle of the riots, wearing his Tigers uniform, in an attempt to facilitate peace is one of the greatest sports stories ever, one of the greatest human stories ever. It's sad that Detroit still burned, but Willie Horton can live the rest of his life knowing that of all the stories to emerge from that troubling time, his was the one that most clearly shows the good things people are capable of, even when times are bad. It is very inspirational.
