@Thrillcekr Yeah, the new uniforms are gross. They don't look Navy. Nobody knows what the heck they are. These new uniforms are the result of touchy feely nonsense. Next we will be having votes on the bridge on whether the CO should be in command that day. Thank God I am on the green side of the Navy...
@devildoc225 Alright, I misunderstood. I agree with you also. Hence the reason I told another poster tthat there was no justification for having an association strictly for black chiefs. Everyone in the Navy, and the Armed Forces for that matter, is on the team. Creating organizations that divide people based on color has no place in the military. After I posted about those new uniforms I actually got to see some up close. Saw a couple recruiters with them on. They're nice.
@Thrillcekr I wasn't talking about uniform changes. I was talking about any other Chief's organizations. There is only one Chiefs Mess. There is only one color of Navy Chief...Khaki. As I said, I don't give a shit what race or creed a Chief is when they ask me for a favor, or help. All I need to know is that they are a Chief.
The uniform changes you speak of are already here. Thats old news. But again, my comments had nothing to do with uniforms.
@Thrillcekr What does "positive discrimination" mean? What is the definition of a "diverse" person? Is the Navy's execution of Diversity policy a violation of Federal EEO Law?
@huskie767 Sorry Huskie but I don't believe it. I recall that the amount of black chiefs, warrant officers, and officers appeared to be fairly close proportionately to the number of black enlisted people who were in. I do find it unfortunate that you feel that way though. Your stint must be tough for you with that much frustration pent up over it. Why not just get out then?
@Thrillcekr It's too bad the Senior members of the DoD and Navy don't share your thoughts. Instead, senior DON personnel are hell bent on making assignment and promotion decisions based on skin color instead of performance and achievement.
@navychiefsrock I never was a Chief but to me they were just like anyone else. Some were assholes and some weren't. There are definitely that group of disgruntled E-6's that never make it who are bitter. What I don't understand about that is, it's really not that damn hard to become a Chief. Basically, all you need to do is do your fucking job and you'll make it eventually. All of the E-6's that I ever knew that didn't make it were either very dumb of very lazy.
@huskie767 It does build cohesion but that's exactly why they don't need things such as a Black Chief Petty Officer's Association. Everyone in the Navy is part of the same team. There's no need for organizations that divide people by race.
i hope i run into a chief while im on patrol, im going to get ur ass, FUCK CHIEFS, FUCKEN FAGGS
