A weird unusual funky dancer with an almost 'hypnotic' trance feel to it and full of bongos, definately not for the northern collectors but maybe one for the funk collectors? It's by a group called OZO and taken from a 1976 DJM LP called 'Listen To The Buddah'.

  • Listened to this back in Nigeria in the late 70s, Kenny St. George where are you?.....

  • great track love it

  • I heard this fabulous track once before, on a DJ Kaos mix for Beats in Space 2005

  • This is the classic underground dance track! Thank you Vince Aletti (in Record World) for suggesting that we play this for max effect on the floor at 45 rpm, then slow it all the way down - which we still do - love that freaky album cover - our second copy is a DJM assorted artists promo disc. I LOVE THIS TRACK! The church bells at the beginning of this underground dance classic sound (suspiciously) like the bells at the end of the LP version of Daft Punk's "One More Time." DAVEDJ

  • Anyone with information should let me know. I want to add this to one of my projects.

  • Interesting! I did a piece on this group in 2007 and I have been trying to locate living members of the group for interviews and things like that. Kenny St. George, to be precise, I have been trying to find. His daughter posted on my blog and never heard from her again.

Chantelle617, I would like to speak with your dad, and you say he is Facebook? Thanks for this update.
