Search Engine Marketing (SEM) refers to your complete - overall - online marketing strategy.
For a lot of companies, this will include PPC (pay-per-click), SEO (Search Engine Optimization - getting your website to come up on the front page of Google), business listings and a whole lot more.
In this video, we cover the top Three areas of search engine marketing. When you effectively employ these three areas, you're customers will see you, you'll receive more traffic on your website and you'll end up getting more business.
One of the common questions that comes up is...."We're a small business...How can I compete with the big companies?"
When you look back about 15 years ago, yes, it was difficult for a smaller business to effectively compete with a 'big box' store. However, with computers, internet, Search Engines and Search Engine Marketing (not to mention...all of the advances Google has made over the past several years) - the playing field is now level.
Now, it doesn't matter if you are an extremely large company, or a small mom and pop company...when you employ an overall effective SEM (Search Engine Marketing) strategy that includes PPC (pay-per-click), SEO (search engine optimization) and Business listings, you can effectively be on the same level as even the largest 'big box' companies.
A recent report came out that showed that 92.4% of all searches result on someone clicking on the first page of Google...What this means is that you need to be on the front page of google...you need to be there WHENEVER someone is searching for your product/service. When you have an overall effective SEM (Search engine marketing) campaign, you'll be there.
