A mechanic needs to check the top of the car as part of normal maintenance. Boosting a car requires specialized tools. These tools tricks the elevator into thinking the elevator door is closed. These tools should only be used by an authorized elevator mechanic. You are opening yourself up to civil liabilities and lawsuits if you are not qualified to use these tools. You risk also injuring or killing yourself or some one else.

its a cool elevator I like these older ones, instead of using that MO tool, are you able to put it in Hoist way mode where you can operate the car with the landing doors open?
