Wrong dog? What do you mean? Will the average boerboel compete against a Working line GSD or Mal....no most likely not but not everyone who goes into schutzhund is looking for a National Championship. This is a great chance to bond with the dog, teach the dog a lot of good self-control and have fun too.

he isnt hitting the dog , its like a check chain they recognise the noise and react , and even if the man is giving the dog (boerboel )once in a while it hardens it to become the better guard dog than it already ,xx

@amstaffer What do you mean will the average Boerboel compete a working GSD?? Actully the Boerboel was bred for work but not sheep work like the GSD's origional perpose, but what is was bred for it is the best in it's class and that is protecting the ivestock and owners from lion's, hyena's, etc.

The title of the video is "Schutzhund 1 protection training Boerboel" which should be a clue. As to your second question, why not.

He got a Sch H "A" which as you may know has the same routines as a Sch H1 but without the tracking. The obedience and protection are identical to the Sch H1. As you can see from my tracking videos he was tracking a Sch 1 track but I, like an idiot put to much pressure on him one day and from that day on he was not reliable on the track. I'm use to training GSD's and forgot for one minute and that's all it took.
