Ignore these dopes that say you are being cruel. I have a similar (and I think even better) contraption for my cat called Feline Funhouse. Until I got it he longed to be outdoors where he would be subject to deer ticks, fisher cats, cayotes, and fox. Now, he goes to the door and "asks" to go out on the deck to be in his house where he has a spacious area to hang out watching the birds. The 'funhouse' folds up into a compact carry case. Perfect size for an apartment balcony.

I did a search on the Feline Funhouse. It looks awesome and it's cheaper than most of the kittywalk systems too! I like the portability of it. May end up getting one, thanks for telling me about it! =)

Yeah he's in there 24/7 and I never let him out. Even in the winter snow gets piled up on him and I have to dig a hole through the snow to get him out... geeze!

The dogs chase him sometimes. Usually they play together. Shiva lays down and paws at them as they walk by etc.

Each pet is different so I can't say whether yours will get along or not. A lot has to do with how you raise them and their natural disposition.

I can't believe how stupid some people are, the cats are NOT kept in this 24/7, they're used for indoor cats so they can go outside and get fresh air and enjoy the outdoors, while keeping them safe from illnesses, cars, humans which can be extreemly cruel to free roaming animals, and other animals.

Unfortunately it doesn't stop my serengetti scrambling out, which is why I have ended up having to supervise all 3 cats a couple of times a day rather than just leave them to it. Cats love to run though and chase insects etc, my cats often charge at full pelt around the garden which is lovely to see, could you not somehow give yours a bigger enclosure?

I totally agree with you for not letting your cat roam if it's not safe to, but surely you could construct something a bit bigger rather than this kittywalk stuff? It all looks too restricting for a cat's needs. I have 3 cats that I don't let roam, but I have "cat-proofed" the fence using the purrfect fencing system.

This would be cruel if the cat was left in it 24/7. However this is just an outdoor pen. People are stupid.

I looked at this system after my lovely cat was poisoned by my neighbor. You have to wonder where someone who would do such a thing goes after death, use you imagination. Anyway, you HAVE to keep your pets safe and cats do love to go outside for a bit. I didn't purchase this enclosure for a number of reasons but it looks like your kitty loves it.

@MannyandTyler It is, but cats get runover, shot at, stolen, EATEN, etc. It can be a dangerous world for them outside depending on on where you live.

My cat doesn't have one of these, i imagine she'd get bored with it quickly. looks cool though. i cant believe these dumb responses. you should just delete them all, tranquil autumn breeze!
