If you visit Florida, make sure you see Juniper Run! It's an incredible 4 to 5-hour long canoe trip down this windy spring-fed causeway, with lush fauna and flora on both sides. You likely see wildlife such as water turtles and possibly small gators! YOU WILL BE IMPRESSED!

  • very fun canoe trip. didn't see any bears, although i saw one at the lake eaton sinkhole about 15-20 miles away in the forest. saw a gator or two if i recall.

but, i just had to laugh at the fact that you counted the number of squirrels you saw... as if they are not abundant enough! lol

  • A great canoe escape - power boats can't navigate this waterway so very peaceful and quiet - lots of wild life. BIG gators, bear, deer, and lots of critters along the way. If your lucky you might even see a wild monkey. Pack well for this trip - best enjoyed over 2 days. So you get sunset - and early sunrise when the animals are out. Do pack a serious knife just in case. Not for small kids or ladies concerned about spiders and snakes...

  • I went today too. I saw 1 bear 1 armidilo 1scqirl 8 hawks. P.S. THEY DON"T CLEAN THE WHISLES!

  • i just went on that today, i loved it, i saw 2 gators, 2 deer, and a whole bunch of turtles
