Probably recorded Nov. 17th, 1970 at the Spectrum in Philadelphia, PA. Miles, Airto Moriera and Michael Henderson are visible; Keith Jarrett and Jack DeJohnette can be heard. Gary Bartz was probably the saxophonist that night.

  • This gig is from a club called "Just Jazz", not the Spectrum.

  • What's your source for this information?

  • Where'd you find this video?

  • I used to be subscribed to a Miles Davis mailing list and this was posted, so I saved it several years ago.

  • This clip has been floating around for several years by itself ... I'm not sure if anyone has any other clips from this gig, but I'm sure I haven't seen any

  • Miles Davis during the "Live/Evil" period. Some of my favorite music ever.

  • Some of the titles on Live-Evil, including "Sivad", are "edits" of several tunes. "Sivad" includes snippets from a live "Directions", and two versions, studio and live, of "Honky Tonk". The band is playing "Honky Tonk" in this video.

  • what a great performance miles at his best.

  • I got to see Aierto in 1970 when I was 8 at the Concord Jazz Festival. He opened up for Buddy Rich. I was blown away at the stuff he was doing!

  • This is a zenith...Keith playing tandem melodic lines on two keyborads ...mmmmmmhmmmmm

  • *Honk Tonk then.
