I wanted to review this for a computers class I'll be taking next year, and my sister is coming in as a freshman at my school and will need to know this for one of her classes as well. but why didn't they choose an even higher base for computers, like 32? 0-9 and A-V? wouldn't that have been even more efficient?

I still don't understand. How does 483 Base 10 = 1E3 Base 16? Can someone please help me. My career depends on it.
