@admitdafeet Correct me if i am wrong, but I think i can assume from your post that you are not "religious." Yes i agree that "religion" is an ideal way to a make this world a place for a better society but my religion is not a set of rules. Its a list to show how imperfect we are and how much we need Christ. i know that may sound cliche, but it is the best way to easily summarize my belief. I am not condemning you nor am i insulted. I'm telling you of my "fictitious belief"

Just started listening to Derek Webb's music and though I like the few songs that I have heard, I just lost some respect for him based on this clip. It's a shame that so many still view works of fiction as truth. I hope that people understand that this is it, there is not likely going to be an afterlife be it in heaven or hell. Yes many of the values of religions as a whole are good values to live your life by. But what if you are wrong? Go out and enjoy this life, it may be the only one you get

@hempartist420 Okay, you seem like a pretty quality guy. I'm done trying to jostle you.

@handicappedhero actually I haven't smoked for a year or so actually, not that that has anything to do with the price of tea in china, I would consider myself enlightened
-
@hempartist420 I thought people that used marijuana were supposed to be enlightened. Oh well. In due time, I'm sure.
-
@handicappedhero only if talking about reality is now a means of trolling
-
@hempartist420 Hey, you. The kid with the marijuana screen name. You trollin' me?

the bible in no way shape or form is relevant to any of modern life, I could go into any bookstore blindfolded and randomly pick a more relevant book for this time period, the bible is just old new

I just mean that people often dismiss certain things as "Oh, that's their 'sexuality,' so back off, man." When, in reality, things like sex before marriage and homosexuality are definitely sin issues. We should still love people and not act like they're freaks if struggling with those sins, but we can't sugar coat it either and say it's okay. (at least, if we care about scripture)

@NuclearSidewalk Yeah, totally. I think that's pretty much what he's saying, actually. Without backing off the sin issues, we should love homosexuals as consistently as anyone else in sin (i.e. everybody). Not a lot of effort from Christians is put into loving homosexuals, when they need more effort and not less. Loving sinners is walking as Jesus walked. Him loving me when I was a total idolater and an evil guy is why I need to love others in similar positions.
