Lost chicken bone mine./ Little girl
Prospector aprox 1900 finds light blue crysgtals - takes a sample to assaye office - tried to talk the assay guy to asssayye for free. Assayer threw the bagg of crystals in the back of his work shop. 15 years lator the Assyer cleaned out his workshop and insernated the sample with chicken bones that were dried out {bones used for soup / sulpur in bones}. After the pile burned Little NANCEY was playing with a chicken leg bone that was gold plated.

The green crystals could be up to 5% gold or 10% copper. If you can sepatrite the green crystals out and have the assayyyed. Also get a sample of the a cross section of the entire vein - not just the high grade section. 1 foot wide and one foot deep - take pictures with a yard stick near to show assay office. Black could be silver or chromite or ????? good.
lost mine proofs next

@auhardrocker seriously? you can get a 20 acre gold claim for 160 dollars? can you use equipment on it to get down deep and run alot of material?

YOU GUYS DON'T KNOW EXACTLY HOW TO MAKE GOLD. THEY ARE SIMPLY BEING HEATED TO A CERTAIN DEGREE THAT WILL TURN THE MALLEABLE METALS INTO GOLD. THINGS TO DO:
PREPARE:
1. SILVER, ORE, IRON, COPPER (SILVER MUST HAVE HIGHER QUANTITY)
2. MIX & HEAT THEM FOR ABOUT 4 HOURS AT 2200 DEGREES CELCIUS.
3. THEN COOL DOWN
4. REHEAT FOR 4 HOURS THIS TIME ADD PYRITE CRYSTALS (IRON SULFIDE) AT 1,100 DEGREE's.
6. COOL DOWN AND REMOVE SOME EXCESS ORES.
7. DIPPED IN A VINEGAR FOR 15 MINUTES AND THANK ME.

these guys are either rich in the caymans by now or pumping gas at sev.

green crystal=emerald if you ask me
Small green crystals = garnets?
Here in the Yukon I'm pulling two garnets for every flake out of my pan and they're usually found in similar locations.
Nice vein, did you ever figure out a yield/ton on your claim?

@blubuddha13 1-7 oz/ton au. .001 oz/ton ag Found out that the green crystals are Florite.

What does a vein look like? What is a reef? where do you go to make a mining claim? How much would a mining claim cost? What state would you suggest for beginners to go to to experience this mining? sounds fun, good luck with your find.

@ThePrayerHotline...a 20 acre mining claim is around $160. look where there has been mining done in the past. a vein is kind of hard to explain in lehmans terms. Take granite for instance, if there is a white streak or a red streak running through it...usually at an angle, but not always, it could possibly be a vein. you would not know the grade of it until you had an assay test done on it.($40) one of many examples. sometimes u can't see the vein. what state are you in? gold is everywhere.

it is pretty small but what? any advice on hard rock digging for beginners. i know it is all hard work but was wondering abuot ready available equipment other than a shovel and pick
7troding 2 years ago
@7troding The gold on my claim I mean is pretty small. Advice? I am not a seasoned pro at hard rock mining. look at what I posted to "theprayerhotline". equipment is expensive, BUT, if you can locate a vein or even some fissures (small cracks with vein material) you can do very well, if you can crush it yourself or have it done. The thing is, is everybody goes after placer gold because it is easier to get the final product, but there is much more hard rock gold than most people think.
