SETI@home: Listening to the Universe

This video is a short introduction to the SETI@home BOINC project. SETI@home uses Radio telescope data to listen for other life in the Universe. This and similar projects are the greatest possibility that came out of Internet. Universities can concentrate their money on different things, than expensive super-computers. it is shame though, that seti@home project has only 3 million users, rosetta only 86 thousand. Idle time of computers is valuable resource! Put your computer in real use! Support these projects by downloading the BOINC software. Doing so you support more than you would giving money to charity.

Just a reasonig. We start transmiting radio signals at about 80 (say 100) years. These signals are 100 light years from Earth. Do you fools actualy belive that could be inteligent life in such vicinity. Any one who has a minimal scientific foundation know thats impossible. Just think for a moment in all those randon events that molded life in this planet. Starting from the crush from a planetoid the size of mars at 4,3 bi years ago that formed moom. Not to mention the other five life extintion .
