  • Can coyotes breed with dogs? Or even wolves? Great dog!

  • @SavageInsight yes, then can and very easily when given the chance, both coyotes and wolves.

  • What's his personality like? We suspect my dog is part coyote, as we have a lot of them in our area and I got him from someone who was giving away free puppies because their dog had gotten loose for a while and came back pregnant.

My dog is pretty lanky and quite weary.. but extremely intelligent.. like scary smart sometimes. He does a lot of things a normal, domesticated dog wouldn't do. His mother was a German Shepherd mix though, so he could have a whole lot of everything in him, haha.

  • @soposthardcore he is very intelligent, crafty and like you said, does things domestic dogs don,t do, I have another dog, lab-gsh mix and she is intelligent, we do agility with her, very obediant. Yet, he is hard to train even though he is intelligent..it,s like, why the heck would he do tricks for..what,s the goal? He has wild instincts, and my other dog does not..you can see the big differences between them.

  • coydog?, hmm this is funny, My dog lucks like this a little less hair though the mom was a All white full breed german Shep, n the dad was a medium sized curly hair dog :S

  • @OldskoolTizokKS if you look at my video of cheyenne, you have his history, his mom was a pure American GSH, she has ran away with an eastern coyote and came back pregnant. We had him genetically tested and his has 25 percent hybrid coyote/wolf or Red Wolf which is actually eastern coyote (hybrid of coyote-wolf) that developed in eastern Canada over 100 years ago when the settlers killed of the wolf, leaving a few to interbreed with the coyotes here, producing a large coyote 60-70 lbs

  • Yes, wolf decimation caused coy hybridization..Esp in the East. What an amazing dog this resulted in.

Mine is pretty easy to train, although he can be very stubborn. I have had him since he was 5 weeks old and is very "pack" oriented. Is yours friendly with other dogs? Mine does not care for other dogs at all and will only trust people whom we trust. He still has to smell every person's hand who walks through our door, even if they have been over a hundred times beforehand, haha. He also curls up into the tiniest little ball when he sleeps, it's adorable. :)

  • @prjibaro1 exactly.
