  • my father served in 1st cav 2nd of the 7th ...Khe San an An Khe. it would be a real trip to see him in some of these videos.

  • I was with the 1/10 air cav in An Khe 70-71 . About the middle of 71 we moved to Lane Base near Qui-Nhon. We lost a few at An Khe when sappers came through the wire and blew up the motor pool and the church. I was on flight line guard duty that night. VC was shooting rockets at us from VC hill but our choppers got off the ground and pounded the top of the mountain. I was a 45-M armament mechanic. Did alot of drugs while I was there. Came back to the states a damaged man. Vote for Peace!

  • @VintageFilmArsenal ty i been looking for a min

  • anybody know the song around MxivWtruykA#t=78s

  • I'll NEVER say the communist "won", we were forced to pull out by our incompetent leaders, fire zones an no fire zones, who ever heard of such shit, if the military was allowed to do their job it would have been a much different outcome, how can any army win a war with their hands tied behind their backs?? I was there, and I'll never forget...

  • Just reading ChickenHawk by Robert Mason, who describes his time near An Khe in the 1st Air Cav. and flying slicks to the hot LZs :)

  • My father was with the 1st Cav when Tet began. Demo specialist at PK-17 to be specific. I just spoke with his former Lt. last year and he told me the stories of PK-17 and TFP. I finally understand his pride in Garryowen.

Thank you so much for sharing this.

  • I remember them well. Col Gude was outstanding, and so was his staff. We all work'd

together to make a great unit. Capt Israel was a great guy,and a good huey pilot. Enjoyed flying with him from An Khe,to Bong son. He was my Boss. Your couldn't

ask for a better man then LTC Graft. Also the LTC in our unit.
