WorkSafe Awards 2011 Winner: Grocon Constructors (Vic) Pty Ltd

Winners of the OHS Management System of the Year category in the 2011 WorkSafe Victoria Awards. Grocon are demonstrating OHS leadership within the construction industry with their OHS management system. Grocon include subcontractors as part of their overall system in regards to reporting of incidents and highlighting specific incident trends, which is quite unique for the industry. Safety performance is measured through lead and lag performance indicators, and risks are identified, controlled and tracked using a risk assessment register, safety observations, near miss reporting, pre-start meetings and safety committee meetings.
