1. He's out front. Nice sailing upwind.
2. It's a star, not a thistle. "flat" is relative and in a star, you have a keel...
3. He did his doughnuts--that's how you get the chance to see how far up front he is.
4. None of you have ever hit a windward mark? If not, you are liars:-)

thistle3951 he definitely did his circle at the very end for hitting the mark, but thats some nice sailing, but the key to mark roundings is "better safe than sorry"

Quite a bit of weather helm. Frying pan grip on the tiller. Hit the weather mark and didn't do a turn. Needs to work on playing the main or traveler. In a puff, ease, hike, trim. Words to live by.
