Many caves contain dangerous breakdown and collapse features. Caves often contain bad air caused from a build up of CO2 a by product of CaCO3. The isopod was collected by Dr. G.O. Graening of Sac State. It was pickled in alcohol and taken to the lab for identification as part of a subterranean biodiversity project in coopperaton with the Oklahoma Biological Survey.
