  • at 65 mph it is getting 30 mpg, not bad for a 4500 lb car...and a turbo 5 cyl with 14.7 lbs of boost stock...

  • 4500? Volvo S60R stock curb weight is around 3700 lbs

  • sorry, GVWR weight rating.

  • the artist is a group called motorcycle, song is as the rush comes

  • I've had the car about a year, it truly is one of the best perfomance/luxury cars I have been in. I like it better for everyday than an M3.

  • @camellude97 Still kinda heavy, thats why i stick to my 850 hehhehehe

    Cant hate those P2R's though...

  • Whats the name of the song, I used to have it ?????

  • our v-70r is a manual. Could depend on driving style too though, if the turbo kicks in the fuel use will increase dramatically, if you trundle around it isn't so bad. Also ours has more boost, so if the turbo comes in it will use some more fuel than standard.

  • Yeah, the manual S60R. I heard the automatics use 1L/100km more, and the V70R is a little less aerodynamic, so maybe that could be the reason?

Though 12L/100km seems really much for country driving (country driving in the Netherlands means driving about 50 mph on straight long roads, in my case in 6th gear when cruising).

  • Are you talking about the s-60r? Because we have a v-70r, and 12-13L/100 km is country driving. City is closer to 14L/100km. Don't tell me the s-60 is lighter, because it isn't. They are great cars, but you have to pay for horsepower and torque.

  • Of course a 500+ hp car will beat an S60R. The 335i (turbocharged as well) is real competition for an S60R; nearly the same amount of hp, plus if you chiptune it, it can be faster than an M3 (broad powerband).

Anyway, the S60R is a great GT which is not extremely fast, but it is very fast compared to normal road cars. Also because of safety it's less sporty (AWD vs RWD).

The cars are just uncomparable (e.g. the M5's price is about double the S60R's!)

  • More like 10L/100km unless you drive a lot of slow country roads and less city/highway.

In the city I get around 12L/100km, on the highway about 9L/100km.

If you turn off your AWD (pull out the fuse in your fuse box) then 8L/100km may be doable. Don't know this for sure.

  • ok your an adult whos trying to get smart with a kid over a website lol
