I went with AMD back in late middle school, my friends had always suggested that AMD was the best for gaming. I later purchased a Radeon X700 by random chance during a Black Friday sale - the items were selling like mad and I grabbed (without knowing) what everyone was grabbing, the X700. The Radeon X700 blew away any other type of graphics I had at the time so, not having great tech knowledge, I simply made the assumption ATI was just a really good company. Then I heard ideas that combining AMD and ATI made a great gaming combo so I made it a rule to make sure my computers used both AMD and ATI.

Since then, I've been quite satisfied with my choice as have my friend :P
