Fans, coaches, students and parents met at the Courthouse Saturday morning at 7 a.m. to listen to the broadcast of where exactly Cannon County will be in the playoffs. It started to drizzle rain and the fans broke out their umbrellas. Several of the fans were looking for coffee first thing.

Heres the scoop:

1. Tickets will be $8.00 and the only pass that will be accepted is the TACA passes, no TSSAA passes will be accepted. Everyone must have a ticket to get into Friday nights ballgame. No Cannon County School System employees will be allowed in free (per TSSAA).
2. Friday nights game will start at 7:00 pm CST against the Indians of Harpeth High School.
3. We will begin pre-selling tickets at Cannon County High School on Wednesday and Thursday during school hours if you would like to purchase a ticket see Mrs. Joyce Taylor in the office. No pre-sale tickets will be sold on Friday all of those tickets will have to be bought on game-day.
4. The gates to the field will open at 5:00, no one is allowed inside the facility before 5:00 pm on Friday.

Michael Dodgen, Athletic Director stated, I forward to seeing everyone at Fred Schwartz field on Friday night watching the Lions and Indians battle. Go Lions!!!!!!!

At 8 a.m., the Cannon County Joint Economic and Community Development Summit was being held at the Lions Club Building. At around 10 a.m., they were broken up into groups, and each of the five workgroups were to select goals.

Heres one of the tables, they were discussing sales tax and section 8 housing.

Then the Cannon County Rescue Squad, Short Mountain Volunteer Fire Department and First Responders were called to the scene of an accident where a vehicle reportedly hit a tree at the intersection of Ferrell Road in the Short Mountain Community. It may have been a trick, but we found a treat looking at the beautiful foliage and clouds laying low around the mountain. (there was no one to be found)

Then Border Wars were continuing at Woodbury Grammar School, where we found that the Woodland Lady Warriors had defeated Middle Tennessee Christian School and were the girls 2009 champs.

Also Auburn barely lost to Kittrell in boys action. Kittrell was named the boys 2009 champs.

Leigh Anns Horses and Camp for Broken Hearts was having their Spooktoberfest, which consisted of a car show and more. It is to raise money for Reactive Attachment Disorder.
