Chad Jones Questionable Hit

In a high school football game in South Louisiana this hit took place.

Number 4 (LSU's #3 Chad Jones) was ejected from the game.

Later discussions with LHSAA officials have confirmed that altough "SICK" this was a legal hit.

Nope. That was not my kid. I was covering this game and almost got wiped out by that runner. Chad Jones actually saved me from being smashed all to hell.

Im merely reporting the fact that after that hit - Chad was ejected from the game.

I also report that although the hit was "sick" it was ruled a legal hit by LHSAA officials

First of all, it is easy for all of us, for or against, to replay this a number of times to form our opinion. The official just had the one take. Now, since we do not have the ability to see whether or not the defender launched himself, I would have to say, I thought this to be a legal hit, for the time it occurred. Now, a lot of organizations are trying to limit the 'high hits' which this may fall under. I felt he lead with the shoulder and the helmet caught the chin but no intent. No foul

the hit takes place right at the out of bounds line...meaning its LEGAL...if you DON'T wanna get hit, step your sissy ass out of bounds earlier or slide....press your luck and get jacked....its quite simple really.
