It's all good folks, like I said I think JH is great aswell. added 2 more CD's to my collection of 7Just a matter of taste on his live performence which I only know by CD (owned the Live at the Budokan once) and youtube clips. My comment may have been a bit on the 'raw' side and for that matter should have stated 'I just can't hack it live' (opinion) instead of 'He just can't hack it live' (commenting the man's performance as If I'm to judge that outside my own opinion).

i've seen JH five times and each show is utterly fantastic, yet very different in its own way. What you see live is what you get on the records--raw, pure talent through and through.

"...can't hack it live." Definitely don't agree. Saw him 3 times, each show completely unique (solo acoustic, with a band, and as part of a guitar pull) and each amazing.

I Love John Hiatt, got about 7 CD's but NO LIVE CD's.
Don't know why but he just can't hack it live.
