@2000jeepsahara ok so you just compared civics to the whole VW line... not saying that vw are bad cars but ive got friends who owns vw yes happy with them but yet do have their downs, not sure about the new VW now but the older models were poorly built also. ex: those audi a4 had horrible tranny themselves. those S/C corrado omg known for S/C exploding... vw gti had bad intake design and fuel line design, shift linkage design... etc oh yea and your clutch sits backwards.

@ohsnapzitzmeng I've owned 2 civics one was an 05 which was the WORSE car I have ever owned, the struts were blown after 2 years, seats colapsed after just 4 years the car was way underpowered and I had to put 2 tranies in it not exactly japanese quality. The 95 I had was a great car how ever it seems as though hondas quality has dropped off. I have owned 2 vw's so far and have been very happy they are built so much better I actually like taking road trips now.

@atc51rams audi and vw has so many more recalls then honda for one. and two the demand and labor/technology of having to fix audi/vw is more costly then honda. and if you were to compare honda with audi/vw; honda is way more reliable. though audi/vw is not a bad car itself, its just because of being a euro car it makes it more complex, for example if you were to order a snap-on scan tool you'd have the option to update your tool to be able to read audi/vw...euro etc
