Stupid overtake and stupid pedestrian

10 Aug 2010 Eastleigh. DOdgy overtake on a bridge by a Transit but, as
he is sitting high up, I'll give him the benefit that he may be able to
see. However, the view of the driver of the car behind was blocked by
the trtansit and there is no way he could have seen what was coming.
Then a pedestrian decides to look left to make sure the road weas
clear. It's a shame that it's the traffic coming from the right that
would hit him forst.

I rarely, well actually, never agree with any of the anti driver comments that are thrown up by helmetcam cyclists, who always seem to turn any situation into a confrontational one, BUT, I have to say that in this video, I was pleased to see that you were cycling at an appropriate distance from the kerb, unlike the " primary position " terrorists.

Oh.. I see, this issue you have with cars etc is all about the fact they "endanger" you. Right.. now I understand. Tell you what then; why don't you get out of their F'in way. If a train presented you with a danger I doubt you hang around on the tracks and whinge about it would you.

Who said anything about cyclists being "poor"? I cycle often and I'm not poor.

The car that you're whining about didn't get anywhere near you, so WFT are you crying for, you sad loser!

Some people aren't great drivers. Some people aren't great cyclists either.. yet I don't see you "hating" on them. I wonder why that is??

Drivers don't really want to be slowed down by a slow moving vehicle, that includes cycles. Are you really so dumb that you can't acknowledge that?

@ShillBasher. I don't drive a tractor. My issue in ths video is with the car driver who couldn't see anything in front of the transit van and performed a dangerous and stupid overtake. There was enough room for him to pass safely after the bridge but, due to his poor driving skills, he chose to drive dangerously. FYI I don't hate the world for needing touse cars and vans, I hate the substandard drivers who can't think further than the front of their bonnet.

Have you ever driven behind a tractor down a country lane for a mile or so then seen it pull in to let the traffic pass? I have, they do it all the time. They do this because they have a concience which causes them to consider other road users feelings. Cyclists like you are angry at the world and then bitch about the problems that YOU yourselves are helping to create. Perhaps you should grow the f**k up and stop hating the world for needing to use cars/ vans and lorries.

@ShillBasher. Thanks for you positive comments. Over the length of my commute my average speed is17mph. The distance is 19 miles and it takes me just over an hour. The average driving speed is 22 mph so I'm not holding many people up. If I was in a car, I would be increaing the length of the traffic jams and adding to average commute times. Please STFU and, if you don't like my videos, stop watching them.

Sounds like you're on a wooden go cart or a sinclair C5 or something?. Get a proper form of transportation and then get used to the fact that most road users travel faster than 15 miles an hour and don't want to be slowed down by some whining ninny who gets in there way and then bitches about it!.
