According to the Intelligencia, the smartest characters in the Marvel Universe (in order starting with the absolute smartest) are Reed Richards, Hank Pym, Bruce Banner, Victor von Doom, Tony Stark, T'Challa, Amadeus Cho, and Henry McCoy. I don't think anyone can effectively argue that any of these characters are "better" scientists than others simply because their disciplines are so varied. Reed - Physicist. Henry - Biologist. Tony - Machinist. And so on.
