Kilimanjaro Diary - Rongai Route, pt. 3

Here we are at 1st camp, at about 2600 meters. The hike up was through some cornfield farms and then through the rainforest until it opened up and we could see the volcano mass of Kilimanjaro, called Kibo. We had a great 3-course dinner courtesy of Joseph the cook! And getting up in the middle of the night was stunning when you could see Kibo in the light of the full moon.
