I have a Green Star 1503 started to get the Omega VRT 330 but ,saw the new Green Star 5000 .Ok ,the Omega/Huron does not come close in making nut butters that Green Star does very well.
2nd john can not aleinate his mfgrs but I can truthfully say the Green Star pulp when fully cranked --is very very dry. Does wheat grass excellantly, carrots -super!
The juice keeps FOR DAYS!!
I'll buy the new 5000 happily!
The juice does energize you -the magnets do energize the juice !! See Ya!

@jumponthebandwagon I think that the improvement to the blade is more due to the fact that they are longer gears, which will be able to shred and squeeze more juice out of the vegetables. The pulp is in contact with the gears for a longer period of time.

Better in which sense? There are so many factors when comparing juicers. On Yield and Juice Quality, the Green Star Elite blows the champion out of the water.
Is the 5000 model worth the higher price when compared to the 3000?

Yes, I believe it is. Due to the longer gears, it usually gets a higher yield. In addition, there are less nooks and crannies to clean.

Can it make Pasta?

Yes, it can make pasta with OPTIONAL pasta attachment (it only extrudes pasta dough you must make).

It actually takes about a quarter of an hour to clean especially if doing carrots.

I have timed myself when cleaning and it does not take me 15 minutes. That being said, your experiences may vary.
