I picked up a Kicker KX3 crossover and 12V DC power supply for it. The sub is now assembled...I probably should've taken video of that process but didn't.

  • kinda stupid to run outside of a box, but i like the creativity. i do have minor thing against QSC, but nonetheless, nice amp, i still stick with Carvers for quality with power. I'd like to see you put it in a box and give me a frequency response graph.

  • @bait28 Sub was sold long ago. I have another custom one, built by someone a bit more pro than myself. The QSC amp has served me very well- I have no complaints about it.

  • how are you powering your amp in your house?

  • @scbjgs The QSC RMX 850 is a PA/DJ amp, and uses 120v.

  • @TheBrian1 just found this amp and was wondering if it's worth it. it'll only be powering a 12" cerwin vega and possibly a 10" fx sub. This listing is for one Craig ma2160 Car Audio Amplifier 2 Channel Powerplay Car Amplifier 2 OHM stable Mosfet PWM Power Supply 160 watt Total Peak Power Supply.

  • @scbjgs I would definitely say this amp is worth it- it's built nicely and does its job. Depending where you get it, the price varies from like $350 to $500 new. I'd look to eBay first- I got this one for about $175 I believe, before shipping. There are deals out there...

  • @TheBrian1 oh, cool. my only thing against QSC is the freq response dosen't go very low(seems to roll of around 50 HZ, fully cuts of at 20), and distortion.

  • @scbjgs unlike all the shitty responses you've gotten, i would say get a really high amperage transformer and the put a bridge rectifier on the other side, add numerous high uf capacitor to it and you have a big 12 volt dc power supply(you can make one that will provide 12 volts at 100 amps, only pulling 10 amps.)

  • That is a badass house amplifier!

  • 1:50 is when he stops talking and starts up the thing

  • @MAnGaThaBOy exactly. i was just asking what method you used. and exactly, considering that, you dont have to act like a complete douchebag. which one? i mean, no one told you to watch it mr. dumbshit

  • @scbjgs yes there is...like with computer power supply ...but it all comes to that 12V wire...And no i weren't born with that amazing gift....it takes hours and hours of hard work.... and btw....your video suck's

  • @scbjgs yes there is..like with computer power supply...but it all comes to that 12V yellow wire.....

  • @MAnGaThaBOy there are a lot of ways to power a car amp in a house. i didn't know much about it at the time. were you born with all knowledge of stereo equipment?
