you mean unlike rome total war?that or you've never played it.
Or you must have tried charges againsnt spears because cavalry sure don't just stop when they reach infantry.

@ickywacka i agree, age of mythology would've been better if horsemen could run down archers and swordsmen, and spear troops could like porcupine or line up to stop them

the only thing that kills RTS games nowadays for me is seeing horses charge infantry and then just stop dead upon reaching them... like in total war. I've just always had a problem with seeing a several hundred pound charger smash into an infantry unit and the little dude just stand there...
